Jaala Smith

  Jaala Smith uses she and they pronouns and is the WSU Extension Pierce County Master Gardener Program Coordinator. They were born and raised in the South Sound area, is a graduate from The Evergreen State College and lives in central Tacoma. Jaala is dedicated to community education and organizing to help families and neighborhoods thrive not just survive. Jaala is passionate about cultural land stewardship, sustainable gardening, and community care that centers, protects and amplifies the voices of those most marginalized in our society.
