--Pollination is essential for the development of many of our favorite fruits and vegetables. Insects provide most of our pollination services, but many species are in decline.

Lisa W. DeVetter is an Associate Professor of Horticulture at Washington State University (WSU). She leads the Small Fruit Horticulture research and outreach program at the WSU Northwestern Washington Research and Extension Center in Mount Vernon. Her main areas of research include improving pollination in blueberry, mulch technologies and improved end-of-life management of mulches in berry production, machine harvesting, and nutrient management.
