Teresia Hazen worked as a medical horticultural therapist for three decades serving patients, families, employees, and communities across Legacy Health in the Portland, Oregon metro region. At seven hospital campuses she managed twelve gardens in her role as coordinator of therapeutic gardens. Specialty training in pediatrics, gerontology, psychology, education, addictions counseling, special education, horticulture, and curriculum design inform her continued healthcare and public health work. She has more than one hundred credit hours in college horticulture and landscape design coursework.
