Linda retired after 20 years in the home improvement industry, completed many hours of extensive training, and received many certifications. She often led how-to clinics on a variety of topics and helped customers design their irrigation system, considering the landscape goals and irrigation requirements for their project.She is an avid gardener that uses the various water delivery systems available in her own garden and has knowledge of the advantages and disadvantages of the various systems.Linda is always finding ways to educate the public about gardening. She has held classes at her home, toured gardens to demonstrate how irrigation systems work, taught classes at a local garden shop, and created training videos on Facebook and YouTube.Entering the WSU Extension Master Gardener Program in 2019, Linda was awarded “Intern of the Year” for her dedicated service to the Extension Master Gardener Program. She has continued her service by mentoring many of the food gardening projects in our region, giving classes at schools, our demonstration garden and other programs designed to help others.
