NEW! Learn about Shared Learning Experiences

NEW opportunity this year!

A new opportunity is being introduced to the AEC agenda in the form of regionally-based, in-person gatherings around Washington state. There are six offerings of Shared Learning Experience gatherings (SLE) around the state that will allow attendees to view the Friday program together.

This Shared Learning Experience allows the participants to build community while learning.

What is the In-person Shared Learning Experience?

The morning program includes the Washington State Foundation Annual Meeting and Awards presentations which are free to all master gardeners. Following the meeting, the conference opens to paid attendees with keynote speaker Larry Weaner. Each location will take a lunch break followed by the afternoon programming.

The SLE afternoon programming will feature two live presentations focused on further development of master gardener skills. All SLE locations will participate in these live sessions at their locations and include breakout session discussions to enhance the learning experience.

What if I don’t attend a Shared Learning Experience?

Virtual attendees will still be able to view the live sessions and engage in breakout session discussions in breakout rooms from their virtual location. Virtual attendee discussions will have their own moderator and be engaged in discussions with other virtual attendees.

Where will the Shared Learning Experience events be held?

Shared Learning Experience host counties are Clark, Kittitas, Snohomish, Spokane, Whitman and Yakima. Look for their individual flyers for more detailed information. Everyone will have the opportunity to enroll in a SLE when completing AEC registration. Space may be limited.
